Mahuta Road North Bridge No.2
Replacement of the old timber bridge with a new 25m long x 6.0m wide reinforced concrete bridge comprising of five double hollow core bridge beams, reinforced concrete abutments, end walls and settlement slabs and steel 310 UC 158 piles driven to 25 metres deep. The work included de-construction and removal of the old timber bridge, construction of a new timber retaining wall, construction of road approaches and the installation of guardrail, signs and line markings.

Subdivision – Edinburgh Street, Waihi Beach
Construction of sewer and stormwater services for a 2 Lot Residential Subdivision in Edinburgh Street, Waihi Beach. The work involved dewatering (well pointing), deep excavation and trench shoring, the installation of 34m of SN16 150mm diameter uPVC sewer and associated lot connections, rodding eye and the installation of 17m of 225mm diameter uPVC stormwater pipe, lot connections, catchpit and connections to Council's network.

Fletcher Bay Campground
Construction of flood protection works (Holland Stream), two concrete causeways and associated box culverts, placement of 600 tonne of rock rip-rap armour, earthworks, road realignment and unsealed pavement construction and minor drainage within the Fletcher Bay Campground.

Construction of underground services; water, sewer, stormwater, power and telecommunications for a 4 Lot Residential Subdivision located on Citrus Ave, Waihi Beach.

School of Mines Lane Bridge
Construction of a new 20m long x 4m wide steel bridge with pre-cast reinforced concrete deck on School of Mines Lane at the intersection of State Highway 25, Kuaotunu. The work included clearing and earthworks, widening SH25 and forming a new intersection, piling and bridge construction, scour protection, unsealed road construction, and removal of the temporary Bailey Bridge and Ford Crossing.

Subdivision - Citrus Ave, Waihi Beach
Construction of an 80m long concrete Right of Way, underground services (water, sewer, stormwater, power and telecommunications) and a 1200mm diameter culvert crossing for a 4 Lot Residential Subdivision located on Citrus Ave, Waihi Beach.

Kauri Point Landslip Remediation
Repair of a large under slip that severely damaged Chelmsford Street at the Kauri Point Historic Reserve during cyclones Debbie and Cook in April 2017. The design called for construction of a buttress rock revetment, over 2250m3, and reinstatement of the road along with drainage improvements and installation of guard rails.

Subdivision - Ngati Maru Highway Kopu
Construction of a 335m long Right of Way serving a 5 lot rural subdivision in Kopu, Thames. The work involved clearing and earthworks, drainage improvements (culverts, manholes and wingwalls), sealed and unsealed pavement construction, rock armour and scour protection and formation of a new entranceway on SH25.

Baily Bridge, School of Mine Lane
Installation of a temporary Bailey Bridge across the Kuaotunu River on School of Mines Lane. The project involved providing assistance to Downer NZ during the bridge installation and constructing 212m3 of rock rip-rap scour protection, the bridge abutments and approaches, site rails and signage.

Right of Way, Rumahunga Bay, Thames Coast
Construction of a 120 metre long concrete Right of Way servicing 6 properties on Otuturu Crescent, Rumahunga Bay, Thames Coast. The project included the installation of kerb & channel and subsoil drains.

Sewer Manhole Infiltration Testing
Groundwater infiltration tests were undertaken on five existing sewer manholes in Waihi to determine the each manhole's water-tightness. The scope of work included the provision of traffic management and the planning and execution of confined space entry and gas detection.

Kennedy Bay Road Retaining Wall
Construction of two gabion basket retaining walls on Kennedy Bay Road, Coromandel. The project included minor drainage improvements (installation of a 375mm culvert, inlet structure and flume) and timber sight rails.

School of Mines Lane Emergency Access
Construction of a temporary ford crossing and emergency access after a localised storm event washed away the single lane bridge over the Kuaotunu River cutting off all access for local residents living on School of Mine Lane. The damage bridge was recovered from the stream once access was restored.

Waitangi Wharf Upgrade, Chatham Island
CivilWorks, contracting directly to Memorial Park Alliance, assisted with the construction of underground services (water, stormwater, sewer, power and telecommunications), dredging of the fishermen's wharf, pavement construction and concrete placement.

NIMT Rail Bridge Replacement
Downer NZ was awarded a major bridge replacement project by KiwiRail that involved replacing seven fragile wooden railway bridges on the North Island Main Trunk Line (NIMT) in the Taumarunui area. Tasks undertaken included site enabling work, general earthworks, site rehabilitation, placement of rock armor, construction of retaining walls, and bridge construction.
